Wind Damaged Plumb Tree

    Last year a wind storm came through and damaged my plumb tree. The backside of the tree broke away. I need to know what would be best to prevent the rest of the branches from breaking while still letting the plumbs grow. I have attached some pictures to help you see what I am talking about. I thought about tying the branches back to my fence, but I am not sure this is the best solution.
