    Hello.

I usually grow plants from seed but on occasion I buy plants...I just bought some Vernonias but this was a really bad time to buy and transplant and they have wilted pretty badly (I covered them, watered and overnight (2 nights now) was cool...usually if plants are going to revive they've done it by now). They are mature and robust (beautiful!) specimens so I don't *think* I've killed them but I need advice as to whether to cut them down to where the stem is rigid, or to the ground or just leave them. I don't care about appearance just what's best for plants.

    Thanks for any input!
