    Hi all,
Looking for some advice please. I’ve just had my willow pollarded despite only asking for it to be trimmed. Have I just killed my willow?

Absolutely not, these trees can handle the most severe surgery. Next couple of years you will think it was never done. No need to panick.

Thanks Acerholic. Does it not matter that it’s growing season? Most of what I’ve read Suggests Willow should only be pollarded in winter?

The best time is when they are dormant, but they are not producing a lot of new growth now. Not ideal no, but you should be OK.
