On a visit last week to Chungcheongnam Province, South Korea, I came across several wildflowers that I would like to identify. Usually, I refer to wildflower guidebooks and websites, but the only ones of which I am aware are for the North America and Europe. Can anyone suggest a useful wildflower ID site for South Korea? In the meantime, I have posted the photos of four flowers that I would like to try to identify. All were from a heavily wooded pathway leading to the Bongjeong-sa Temple in north-central Chungcheongnam Province, South Korea. All were taken on June 23, 2013. Any help that you could give would be appreciated. Thank you. Dvictor PS This is my first post here (in fact, I only learned about this site today), so if I am posting incorrectly, please share that with me too. Thank you!
4,5,and 6 look very much like gooseneck loosestrife, Lysimachia clethroides. 7 and 8 look Rudbeckia-ish.
Thank you. I think your correct on both counts. I had no idea on the Gooseneck Loosestrife but it matches well. Thanks. I didn't know, though, that Rudbeckia grew in Korea. Any idea on the other plants? Dvictor
