I picked some wild strawberries near Whistler, BC this spring, took them home and replanted them, and they have done well growing since. No berries yet, but I am confident that they will bear fruit next summer as this year was a bit rough for them –being ripped from the ground and all.
Recently it has turned quite cold (I live in Vancouver BC) and some of the leaves have been dying off. There are four plants in a large pot, and each of the plants has lost a stalk/leaves. Is that normal for this time of the year? Do I have too many plants in one pot?
I assume that I should leave them outside on my deck as they came from the side of a mountain. I just want to make sure that I have some great strawberry plants next spring to go with the Blueberry and Salmonberry plants I transplanted to my deck from the same area.

I look forward to any insight...
