After two years my pink dwarf (they are now giant!) oleanders have taken over my garden. I love them, but only want them to be a backdrop to my other plants. Also, one is growing sideways --towards the sun. What is the best way to prune them and get them back to a managable size?

    Thanks.

they should get a hard prune, take off 1/3 to a half in the begining of the growing season adn they will bounce right back and probably need a good prune every year or every other year.

Caution: be careful disposing of the prunings - don't leave them anywhere that farm animals might have access to them, as they are very poisonous. Also reputed (don't know if this is true) to give off poisonous smoke if burnt.
