Wildflowers: Wild Ground cover

I have this growing on the side hill in the grass. I have no idea where it came from. They have small orange flowers. Does anyone know what it is? Is it a good ground cover?

Might be a speedwell.

The botanical garden at UC Riverside is kind of nice. Have you been there?

 

Not sure if this is Speedwell, it's growing wild all over the back yard after some good rains. The flower is orange/pink. I understand that the Speedwell plant has a Blue flower.

Wife has been bugging me to go to the botanical garden at UC Riverside for awhile.

Looks like Anagallis arvensis

That was my first thought, but the leaves looked like those of speedwell and I could not tell if the flower color came out right in the picture.
