What kind of plant is this: http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img8555dp8.jpg http://img217.imageshack.us/my.php?image=img8560rx8.jpg The orange coloured part is soft and smells good resembling an apricot but is it edible ? The green part is the seed. I found it in north thailand in april at a little creek.
Not sure. I only got to look at one of the pics, and had to shut it down quickly because it was generating obnoxious pop-up ads. Can you move them to a better image host, please!
Thank you - in the web I found a short notice that the fruit is edible, is this safe , of course only the orange parts ? I could not find any pictures in the web, only "Semecarpus anacardium the "marking nut" . Are there other semecarpus species with poisonous fruit one might mistake for this one ?
