I'm curious to know what this plant is. Any idea?
An experienced gardener thought it was a Wild Elderberry.
It appeared on its own and grew wonderfully. You have to respect a species with a strong desire to thrive.
    Thank you!

Yep, an Elder Sambucus. Too young yet to have any elderberries on it yet, though!

I'm not sure why you have to respect a species with a strong desire to thrive. At least Sambucus racemosa is a BC native plant but I could name dozens of other non-natives whose desire to thrive has made them serious invasive species. Consider Scotch Broom, English Ivy, Holly, Blackberry, Daphne Laureola, etc. etc., seedlings of which frequently pop up in my garden, lusting to grow and propagate.
