I went to the cloud forest today, and came back with some pretty weird stuff. I have tenative IDs for some of this, and some of it is completely unknown.

    Wheee!

    1 - Barnadesia spp?
    2 - Barnadesia parviflora?
3 through 5 - Some type of Solanaceae? It was a small tree. Pictures show fruit, leaves, and flower.
    6 - ?????
    7 - Cinchona officinalis? A relative?
8 - Symphlocampus or Centropogon? I have difficulty telling the difference....

No, Ron, I'm still searching for those. I have high hopes for the deep Amazon.

3-5 definitely look like Solanaceae to me.

I'd dearly love to know whether it's an edible type.... The lady who owns the property where it is growing says it's older than her grampa (ie it's been there forever and a half...) And, there's a gigantic Tomate de Arbol growing up through it.
