White translucent flowers/fungi on Oregon Coast

    We came upon these hiking in Cape Perpetua, near Yachats, OR. Does anyone have a clue what they are? They looked like they were flowering, were about 5" tall growing in shaded areas of the forest, always in clumps.

    Looks like Monotropa uniflora

    urbangardener, thankyou for showing this good pic of the flowers of Monotropa uniflora.It is interesting to see the inside. Most pics on the web show the dainty flowers with the heads nodding.

    Nodding is normal, with them becoming upright as the fruits form. Don't know how usual it is for the flowers to still have anthers etc. at the upright stage.
