    White Stachys monieri

I have had a Stachys monieri 'Rosea' for years and it has finally reseeded itself as I have three of four new plants close by. However, one of them has white flowers. I assume the seeds are variable and some reseed into a white flowering Stachys? Or could this be a mutation?

Sounds like the white flower gene is recessive to the pink, and in every batch of seed you will find some white flowering plants mixed in.
