I have a white powder fungus that is spreading each year. Under the soil is a large core that I remove each year. It appears to be near an old tree root. Is there a product that I can spread over the garden to reduce or eliminate this fungus? And should I be concerned about this white powder on my vegetable plants? Thanks.

If it's coming from woody plant parts it might be an Armillaria. These can be pathogenic, so it might be desirable to dig it all out. Otherwise, it is normal for the topsoil to be full of fungi - the Earth could be called the Fungus Planet. Most of these decompose dead plant matter, thereby assisting gardening efforts.
