My very first post so please be gentle with me! I have just purchased this lovely ink blotter for fountain pens, and of course the reason I bought it is the wonderful image of a white flower picked out by hand in tiny coloured stones, a technique called pietra dura. I am dying to find out what the flowers are in real life, any help?

    Best regards,

    Fred

    Stylized Magnolia (e.g., Magnolia cylindrica)?

Notice that leaves are present at time of flowering and there are brown hairs on the leaves and stems. You'd expect Magnolia grandiflora to be likely anyway, as it is highly popular.

Fireworks, are those your own photos? If not, can you please replace them with links - there's an intellectual property issue if they're not your own work.

I am sorry, no they are not. Just did a Google search for them. I'm afraid that I have not been too diligent about using the proper procedure for posting things like that, will make sure I do in the future. Thank you for the heads up.
