Observed this Syrphid fly on a white aster. All four pictures were taken on the Ross/Durrance side of Mount Work on June 3, 2017 around 2pm. Rough Location: 48.549189, -123.489621

I suspect this is Hieracium albiflorum Hook. - white hawkweed

I'm just not sure - any other thoughts?

    Yes, I'd agree.

(you need to clean your camera sensor, though!)

Yes, cleaning is on my to-do list!
