    Papaver somniferum - the poppy seed head; someone else can explain the effect of the evenly spaced petals. Again a great photograph. If you use a digital camera, do you mind if I ask which camera and lenses, if any, you use? Yours colors seem so true, where reds are particularly difficult on my first edition Sony Mavica.

    (You won't believe it! In spite of the other newer, more fancy cameras that we have, I still rely on my trusty Canon G2.)
