Identification: Which type of Agave?

    What do you think? I was told this was a blue agave, but I have my doubts. It doesnt look like the pics I have seen on the internet. The leaves look shorter, fatter, and thornier.

    They both look very close. Is there a way to tell one from the other? Looks like I'm going to end up with mezcal rather than tequila. That's what I get for trusting the guy at the nursery.

    I believe Greerish's specimen is misidentified. Look at the page I linked to
    and you'll see photo's of palmeri and parryi side by side. Not AT ALL alike.
