Which groundcover is doing best late Jan/early Feb in Pacific NW?

    The cold winter has put all mine into dormancy and one would hardly know they are there, except for the little hints of Sedum makinoi 'Ogon' showing...

    All those people trying for a lawn-type cover will be rather disappointed, perhaps?

    Incidentally, we (and you) live in the Pacific North East... Americans call this area the Pacific Northwest because of the Northwest State of Wash. Go figure?
    Fret not, you are not alone with your ground cover dilemma. Once the temperatures pass 10-13 c. we will see recovery and the demise of other plants. The hardy Thymus psuedolanuginosus spreads well and is perfect for our droughts during the summer. Sedums are not looking very pretty here either in Port Moody.
