I want to buy a RED Japanese Maple. Sheridan has Bloodgoods and Fireglos. I bought a Bloodgood last summer but it's quite maroon. I have good sunlight on it a good chunk of the day. I notice around the neighbourhood/city (I've become obsessed) that there are some very red Japanese Maples in the same light and soil as some very maroon ones. Seems there is a red variety out there but I can't seem to find it!! Does anyone know the name of a very red variety please?? Maybe I should buy somewhere other than Sheridan? They ordered in a Fireglow for me but it doesn't look much redder (the new growth does but the old growth looks quite maroon) and I'm not sure if I should buy it. Any info leading me to RED would be most appreciated. Thank you!!!
