Hi I am new to this thread and gardening in general, we have a cement wall below our garage that is 20' W X 7'6" W. The Planter we have is 20' W so once planted, am I going to have to trellis the wall so the vines can latch on?,

Once the vines get above the cement wall the garage wall is covered in Cedar shingles, so problably latch onto that quite easily.

    Any suggestions much appreciated.

    Best,

I would see no problem with it finding its way up the concrete, since it attaches by tendrils which stick on/into the surface (like an ivy), it doesn't need a structure to wrap around (like grapes or pole beans).

I'm not sure, but it looks like a few strands of mine have touched the soil & rooted, so I can give you a few to start with, if you'd like. Contact me by PM. I am in Burnaby.
