   I am hoping to plant a silk tree on a seaside sunny slope in Powell River. The area I am thinking of will be fairly protected from the strong winter winds - just wondering what time in spring to plant it so it has the best chance of surviving.

   When in spring not particularly critical. Important part warm location with good drainage, room for canopy to spread.
