    Hello-

I moved in December and brought my potted Acer Maple with me. It's been waiting to be repotted into the ground. Is now (Feb) a good time?

    Thanks!
    Sarah

I plant when the soil tempertures are between 7 and 10 degrees, or it you are past the hard freeze stage. I don't remember why but you do not want any air pockets in the new hole, so watering it in after planting and then give the soil a good tamping.

Thanks to both of you- I assume we in Vancouver are past freeze possibilities, so I can go for it. If I'm wrong, anyone feel free to correct me before I break ground!

    Thanks again,
    Sarah

Oh yea in Vancouver, you can plant trees year round, but now it the very best time, remember good drainage.
