    Hi there!

I would like to catch Hamamelis virginiana or the Common Witch Hazel with my camera when it is blooming at UBC Botanical Gardens.

Can anyone tell me when that might be?

    Thanks a bunch!

There are several Hamamelis spp. in bloom in the Winter Garden right now and they have been blooming for a while. There are only two living accessions of H. virginiana at the moment and they are both recent acquisitions, so they probably are not blooming this year.

You are probably too late anyway as October is the usual time for this species here.
