    What's your take on this ... Woodpeckers?

    The males are colorful, black-and-white with red heads and yellow fronts ("bellies").

    I've seen sapsuckers on birch trees a lot...just about chopped the trees down there was so many holes

    Both Nothofagus and some of the maples here at the garden have sapsucker holes.
