I have a problem with a couple of my plants. I hope someone can help.

The first problem is that one of the plants seems to have a white fungus growing on it which is killing the stems. In addition to this there seems to be very tiny bugs in the soil. They seem to stay in the soil and not walk over the stems or leaves of the plant. Normally you cannot see them but when the plant is watered they come out to the surface. I wasn't able to get a get picture as they are so small. I`m not sure if the bugs and the white fungus are connected or whether they are separate problems.

The second problem is with a smaller plant. It seems to do really well for a while then suddenly lots of the leaves start turning brown and falling off (as shown below). It could be location. The plant is located on a window ledge. I live in Tokyo so winter has many sunny but cold days. Now we are coming into summer it is still sunny but also very hot. I've moved the plant form the window ledge in case the heat was the problem, but its not helping much. The centre part of the plant has also turned a little white (but different from the above problem with the other plant).

I hope this makes sense and that someone can help. many thanks.
