What's this one?

    Found in a field in Michigan's thumb area this year in october. Any ideas are appreciated.

    looks like big Datura

    Be carefull most if not parts are poisonous

    I agree with Datura: D. Stramonium I think. Can be a showy flower but definitely not good for animals. Very prolific - one plant last year mowed in with the bush hog and we get 20 plus plants this spring. Oops!

    Easily started by seed, not cold tolerant, unpleasant smell but the double or triple bloom makes it worth the trouble. If the trunk was a dark color most likely a purple variety, more of a woody appearance will most likely be of the yellow variety. Careful if you have children or pets.
