Well it hit again overnight, as R @dicky5ash predicted. -3°C. But 18°C forecast for today. So let's remember that Month Python song. But even that's wearing a bitt thin this Spring now.

20°C in my garden as I type this, how ridiculous and a possible frost tonight. Not complaining though as if I had to choose a temperature for comfort, then 20°C would be my choice.

    Strange times !!!

Saying +2 for my area tonight, too close for comfort, so the spraying continues.

Your dedication is amazing! I can't believe the cold nights you've been having, week after week.

Don't laugh, but you know the two things Maples don’t like. Late Spring frosts and strong drying wind. Guess what I've got here now!!

Well I thought we were out of the woods so to speak re frosts here in Southern England, but 'no'. The forecasts are now showing tonight onwards until the 1st May at around +2°C every night. That is too close for comfort.
The spraying continues and pots brought under cover yet again. Roll on May.

Well after spending the morning rearranging the patios and garden etc with all the trees from the workshop you will be glad to know 30 of them are now back inside again , these cold frosty nights are just getting beyond a joke now, temps just dropped like a brick around 6.00 pm tonight, think i might just leave them there now till June at this rate. Never known it this cold, constantly nearly every single night now, ridiculous to be honest.

I hear you M, I've just spent the last half hour spraying all mine. And the forecast for the next few nights is not good either. Quite depressing for us all.

    Oh my !

It seems here, night temps won't go below +5 in the next ten days, and if it will be colder in the afternoon (around 15), there will be rain.

-2°C at 0500hrs a shirt while ago here. TBH as M @ROEBUK am getting really fed up with this now. But the sun rise again was rather nice, even though I was very cold doing my spraying. So let's hope it's just one more night of this tonight.

You have probably no idea of the admiration and respect you are getting from around the world in your efforts to protect your maples. You are an inspiration!

Thanks Margot, that's a real pick me up right now. Sometimes a few kind words from a friend is all it takes.
