Identification: What's the name of this plant?

My mom had this plant and sunburned it to death a few springs ago. She would love another piece, if only we knew what it was.

 

Pedilanthus tithymaloides, Variegated Devil's Backbone.

I'm having the hardest time finding one, but I think I have found some in TX. None of the nurseries around here have one. I'm getting it for my mom's birthday next week. She will be thrilled!
