My wife and I recently started a patio garden. Our biggest concern is this new plant that is growing in and on top of our tomato plant. It looks completely unlike any plant I have seen, no flowers so its not another tomato plant. Could it be a weed? If so how do I remove it without hurting my tomato plant? Can you all look at these pics and let me know if this is another good plant or not?

A cabbage of some sort. Just snip it off at the base (below the lowest leaves) if you don't want to keep it.

Looks like something in the mustard family. For a moment I thought it looked like Perilla frutescens (shiso). Nope.
