And why is it 1000x more beautiful than all the other typical street cherry/plum trees? And where can I get it? They are so fluffy and light coloured and delightful. Other street cherry trees look dark pink and sparse in comparison. :D
One like this easily found in nurseries is the Japanese cherry 'Akebono'. If you find some at a nearby outlet and compare them with this one, or visit one of the many locations for this variety shown on this web site you will probably find they are the same.
Yes, that looks a lot like it, thanks! http://www.floridata.com/wallpaper/jpg/YoshinoCherry_Akebono800.jpg I was thinking it also looks a bit like Prunus Subhirtella Autumnalis (because I like the idea of getting blossoms throughout winter), but even that one does not look as lush and bushy in the pics. http://hgic.clemson.edu/factsheets/graphics/1018/autumncherry.jpg
Many 'Autumnalis Rosea' (this is what is prevalent here, and not 'Autumnalis') are having disease problems which make them look shabby. Even a healthy one will not produce the same full appearance that you desire.
