What sort of plant is this?

When i got it 2 years ago there was only 4 small leaves.
Now i'm not sure if its supposed to be a plant that grows up or if i should let it hang?
The main branch is very thin and cannot really support the rest of the plant.

Anyone has a idea of what i should do?

I would guess it's a light-starved rubber plant (Ficus elastica).

 

i think you should carefully stake it and prop it up. I don't think it's intended to be a trailing plant.
