I'm a Malaysian Lower Six student. For a Bio project, i'm required to find a few species of plants and name them then classify them.
If I were to look for the plants, what parts do i have to get?
Also, if I send them here, can anyone help me identifu them?
I'm a real newbie in gardening and also this forum, if there's any mistake, please forgive me

First thing to do is go to your college library and see if they have a good book on plant identification! If they are any good, they should have Flora Malesiana, which is a multiple-volume flora covering your area.

Then go out to somewhere fairly wild-looking, where you can be reasonably sure that the plants are all (or at least mostly!) native species growing wild, not someone's crops or garden plants. Select some specimens that are common in the area, and collect samples of leaves, flowers, fruit, and bring them home (don't collect anything you only find one of! - it might be rare and endangered). Then use the library books to see if you can identify the plants, and see what the books say are important features in classifying them (things like flower structure and fruit structure)

    Good luck!
