I asked this a few days ago. As if it is a small shrub or tree I might go and dig out some more.

This plant grows on an empty plot ( where a house used ot stand with a garden)
near my house in Vancouver .
Does anyone know what it is ? The roots are not very deep.
    It looks interesting
    Thank you.
    Vic

Or the locally prevalent hybrid between it and Giant Knotweed. Don't dig up and move any of them into your garden! The pieces you have gotten so far should all be destroyed.

Your message sounds very alarming. I read the information other on the url sent by "saltcedar" There they talk about it being edible etc....I haven't planted it..
I have a 5 x 20m elevated terraced platform along the road (typical Burnaby north front of terraced house). It gravel with plastic underneath and plenty of weeds
I always have to pull out. I was thinking if something grows there that's green and like a small bush or tree. FREE and UNUSUAL ... ...
Ok anyway...As you have given me good advice before and seeing the numbers of POST 11000+ You must be THE MAN in THE KNOW :-)..
Just tell me what my risks are. My 2house down neigbour has hundreds of yellow Dandelions and never cuts them back so you image how we are batteling
so If I bring in a weed that LOOKS nice :-) why not ...haha Regards Vic
