    I believe this to be the nastiness that is growing all over my yard and flowerbed....

    I have to use a shovel, gloves, and wrap it in newspaper to get it out....

    It is EVIL!!! lol

    i use my rose-gloves when dealing with thistle. the rose-gloves are made from leather to protect you from the rose thorns...works just as well with the thistle's stingers.

    thanks for the suggestion!! I'll definately look into it...
    I am currently trying to pull a thistle sliver from my thumb!!

    oh, yuck!!

    soak the finger in warm-to-hot water and then use a tweezer to pull it out - may even just pop out on its own once the skin is softened up a bit.
