I don't have a photo, and I don't remember where we were. On a walk yesterday in a neighbourhood not all that familiar to me, my friend wondered about a street tree with unsymmetrical heart-shaped leaves and lots of very small round fruits (green right now) in loose Tilia-looking clusters (corymbs or cymes) hanging from peduncles (maybe 4cm long?) from the leaf axils, not from floral bracts the way the Lindens I know do. Are there Tilia that do inflorescences like that, or if not, what else is in the running?
