I have come across an unusual tree. I want to see if someone can identify it. This tree is approx. 40ft. tall with large pale red cherry like fruit hanging from cherry like stems, only the stems are approx. 8-10 in. long with only one fruit to each stem.

A picture would really help identify this tree.

Maybe one of the cherries or other Prunus with cylindrical (spike-like) inflorescences, such as P. lusitanica, P. serotina or P. virginiana.
