Brother gave me a Japanese peach tree. that's what he called it. Has peach tree type leaves but red color, turn green later in year. Some kind of leave blight in spring. Mildew like spots, spread all over tree than spots puffed up, lost some leaves. Very small peaches (yellow, sweet smell) all wormy. HELP! Would like to do something with this tree. My local 4 H center said maybe it's a maple tree and spray copper sulfide on it after leaves fall off or in spring before buds appear.????????? help please (small tree about 8 foot tall 8in.dia.) pits fall and new trees come up very readily. THANKS

Hi, I wonder if it's actually an apricot? But that won't help fix it. I doubt if it's a maple! Can you post a picture here? What kind of soil is it planted in? How often has it been raining and/or you been watering? Is it in sun?
