I'm doing a project learning how to identify native trees of Vancouver. I saw this in the arboretum at Queen Elizabeth Park. I was looking for a Pacific Dogwood, and came across this. Can anyone tell me what it is, please?
Welcome to the forums Susan King. Ooh! I hope I am correct...it looks like one of my favourite trees...Stewartia psuedocamellia. It has gorgeous bark. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=s...ChMIos7zotDgxwIV6jHbCh2qWgZG&biw=1536&bih=728
Thanks! The bark certainly is unusual. It reminds me of our Arbutus tree only smooth and with more colours. I've never seen anything like it before.
