Sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but... I was out for a walk when I saw this beautiful tree that I would love to plant in my backyard. Could someone please tell me what it is, or where I can find out what it is?
agreed with jimmy looks like Robinia pseudoacacia..........if the leaves are a golden yellow, most likely the variety Frisia.
It looks like a black locust tree to me.(which has far as I know could be the same as mentioned above) I have a few in the yard-they get white wisteria like plumes of dangling white or purple clusters of highly fragrant blooms. The limb wood is used to make magical canes & talking sticks. The branches get big thorns so not suitable for climbing. Bees LOVE this tree. The whole yard has an audible buzzing sound in the spring when this is in bloom.
