My office received a plant as a gift from a client about a month ago, and it's not been doing very well. The plant was not labeled, so I'm not sure what kind it is. I'd like to know what it is so I can take care of it properly.

When we got it, the plant had flowers at the top of two of its stalks. They were yellow and kind of spiky. Each one kind of looked like a tall stack of spiky square bowls. They looked quite tropical.

The plant has dried out a few times, and it wilts significantly each time. Both flowers and a few leaves have died, and the ends of some of the bigger leaves have completely dried out.

Do you have any idea what kind of plant this is?

Thanks, togata57, that's it! And now I know what we've been doing wrong - we'll start watering it a little bit every other day instead of a lot every 4 - 5 days. Hopefully it'll perk back up.
