I had this plant in my office and it was fine for about a year but then it started to loose its pretty pink color. I brought it home and keep in on my balcony where it gets light but not too horribly too much due to the over hang of my apt building. Still no change so I repotted it in a larger pot with new soil with moisture control and miracle grow in it. Still no change. Help? any ideas. I also need to know what plant it is. I cant even look it up because I have no idea what it is. Thanks for any help you can give me.
From what I've read, these are easier to grow in high humidity, such as in a terrarium. They don't like sun, don't like to dry out, but don't like to sit in water either. I have a terrarium now and I'd like to try one in it and see how I do with them. One thing I do know, just in case of unforeseen disaster, it never hurts to take cuttings. Some plants just lose their looks with age, and cuttings will always provide a source of newer, prettier plants. Fittonia is said to grow easily from tip cuttings, and young new plants will probably have brighter colour.
