I have this plant, and every year it sprouts these growths. Then they fall off and turn to powder. This year there are -way- more than any other year. Can someone help identify what kind of plant this is and what these growths are for? (This plant is at least 10 years old)

    Thanks in advance! :D

    Perhaps a Peperomia obtusifolia.
    Growths are flowers.
