Iam located in San Antonio and am having a hard time identifying this oak tree. Please help . These pics are of the tree at my condo. Am interested in Planting around a hundred at my place in the country. Any help is much appreciated.

Looks like Quercus palustris. Common name Pin Oak.

Agree. Great plant but the leaves are persistent in winter at least in my yard they are.

Quercus palustris isn't native in Texas and doubtful it would
tolerate our heat, drought and alkaline clay soils.
Definitely in the Red Oak group though, possibly Quercus texana or Q. shumardii.

BTW you don't want to plant 100 of any tree species
especially Red Oaks! You have heard of Oak Wilt, yes?
It's rampant in Central Texas and Fatal to Red Oaks and Live Oaks.

    I'm thinking Q. shumardii too.
