Identification: What kind of mushroom is this?

    Can anyone identify what type of mushroom this is? It was found in Missouri.

    Might be Auricularia auricula-judae, Jelly Ear Fungus.

    I don't think it is a jelly ear because it has a big thick stem on it. From what I see, the jelly ear doesn't really have a stem.
