So would that make the one that grows wild here in the PNW and looks much like the picture that Tsunami posted P. munitum? barb
tipularia, The fern you mentioned is here too but it's more lacy than the munitum. And the patches of spor/seeds on the underside of the fern frond match munitum better. We have all sorts of ferns here, under the conifer forrests. I'll never learn them all but the c-mas fern munitum is crawling all over my rockery. Some one planted it years ago and I still haven't managed to get rid of it all. I'd rather have seedums and such. barb
