What Kind of Cherry.

    neighbor has a cherry tree its about 40 feet tall and has small red cherry which tast sweet I have no way of getting a leaf picture because its so tall and the limbs are up to high.

    Maybe it's a sweet cherry (Prunus avium). These usually mature earlier in the summer.

    Thankyou they mature around May to June and there smaller than the ones you find in the stores.

    Ones in stores bigger than those of typical seedlings.

    Can fruiting cherrys get 30 to 40 feet tall I was thought they was susposed to be small trees. This tree has a big trunk to you could just about make fire wood from it.

    Here, where it is a naturalized weed, sweet cherry has been measured more than 100' tall.
