    Hello again guys,

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with my purple coneflower? The petals on the flowers are all shriveled up. I've uploaded some pictures for you to see. Please help. Thank you.

    Edmond.

Can you confirm that this isn't the first year you've grown these (i.e., in previous years, the ray flowers were wider / not rolled up)?

Yes: either a novelty cultivar selected for producing ray flowers shaped like those of a spoon chrysanthemum or these individual plants have mutated into doing likewise.

Thank you for replying guys. No this isn't the first year that I've planted these purple coneflower. I planted them two years ago. Now that I think of it, the petals were shaped like this even back then. Maybe it is a different cultivar. I have to check if I still have the tag it came with.

Thank you once again for the quick response.
