Could someone please give me the name of this wonderful plant?

It was tiny when we planted it and it got up to 6'

It had seed pods that exploded when touched. You can see some small ones in the close up.

Great flowers and a very thick hollow stalk.

I harvested seeds from this plant. (I. glandulifera.)
Could anyone tell me when to start germinating them?
I would really like to have this plant back next summer. I hope to grow a few more next year as well. Is it possible that any of the seeds that fell in the garden will survive the winter, and grow naturally next year?
Any help is appreciated with techniques, soils, fertilizers, etc..
Or even if you know a link to the info I am seeking. I would be very thankful.

Generally it's known as a surprise visitor or even a troublesome invasive so I shouldn't think it would be difficult. If you search the plant name on the internet, information about starting it from seed should also be readily available.
