I found this flower? while walking this morning in town. It was growing very low (<6") to the ground by the road next to a drive way. I am in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have never seen one of these before and I searched online but could not find it. It seems like some sort of clover maybe? I would love to know what it is.

    Perhaps Thalictrum aquilegifolium.

Ok, I did find pictures of that and yes I think maybe it is. Is it strange to find this growing "wild" in Baton Rouge, LA? I have lived here more than 40 years and never seen one of these before.

It was growing low to the ground, and that thalictrum is a tall plant. There are some that grow low, like Thalictrum kusianum, but I wouldn't expect the flower to be that big. Was there a leaf to give us more of a hint?

Schrankia sounds right. Creeping pea with sensitive leaves!
