What is this??

    Cryptomeria japonica Elegans......is the whole plant a red-bronze colour?

    I'm not sure what the whole plant is like, I've only seen these cut branches. My aunt brought it to me to get an ID and I had no idea what it was, so I took a photo to post on here!

    The reason i ask is, im about 5% colour blind, (red, green) so browns and shades of brown, dark green and black are very difficult to tell apart :(

    Oh, okay! well this leaves are all green, the stem is quite brown though. So it's a Japanese Cedar?

    I'm pretty sure, yes its a Japanese Cedar.
    There are some expert conifer enthusiasts in here, so you will probably get the variety named.
    Its a nice tree which ever one it is :)

    Yes, definitely Cryptomeria japonica 'Elegans' (a juvenile foliage cultivar of Sugi).

    Green is OK for this if it was growing in shade - the winter bronzing only appears on branches exposed to full sun.
